Co-Owner, Studio Manager, & Instructor

Luke Gibson

Luke left a two-decade-long marketing career during the pandemic to spend time behind the pottery wheel. Driven by a newfound passion for ceramics, he immersed himself fully in the art of pottery making. What began as a personal exploration soon blossomed into skill, as he devoted countless hours to learning everything he could about ceramics and honing his craft. In late 2025, Luke became a co-owner and studio manager, expanding his role from maker to mentor and steward of the studio. He also creates and sells work under his own brand, Sweet Air Pottery, and can often be found at local markets throughout Baltimore and Harford County. Today, Luke creates one-of-a-kind pieces that marry functionality with artistry, and he loves sharing the joy and passion he found playing in the clay with new people. When he’s not at the studio loading kilns, helping students, or behind the wheel, Luke enjoys hiking, traveling, and live music (and is even learning to play the banjo—slowly and poorly).
